1 out of 5 stars not for a Kindle   March 6, 2009

Yes, it's advertised that it's Kindle-compatible and sure, you can clip it on there. But would you want to hold the Kindle- that now weighs more than twice as much and is top-heavy- with this clunky thing on there? Uh, no thanks. I was really disappointed in this and am returning it. It'd be fine for a regular book but the thing I like best about Kindle is it is so lightweight. This is solid enough on the bottom that it says on the package it will sit up on its own. Nice, but not what i want for my Kindle. Off to buy something more compact.

1 out of 5 stars I don't get it   May 9, 2009

I don't like the clip on this light. I sometimes use it anyway because the LEDs are bright, but I have to clip it on the nightstand or table close to where I am reading. The clip slips right off the Kindle 2's edge, but if I clip it further down, it obscures words at the top of the page. I can move it every time I change the page but that defeats the purpose of having a hands-free, clip-on device in the first place. I do not understand why people like this light so much.

1 out of 5 stars Mighty Lite Mighty bad   March 2, 2009

The mighty Lite is one of the worst LED lights I have used. It is even worse with Kindle 2. Why Amazon says it is a Kindle 2 compatible product is beyond me. The light uses 3 AAA batteries in the base. It is not very bright compared to other LED book lights and with the 3 AAA batteries it totally unbalances the Kindle 2. It is way too heavy and the angle of coverage is too small to adequately cover the Kindle's screen. The clip is too large to really clip nicely onto the Kindle without intruding into the screen a little or falling off of the edge since it does not have a good grip. Not recommended. There are better alternatives which are brighter, lighter and use the small button batteries and have a nicer clip.

1 out of 5 stars Terrible on/off switch   November 24, 2009

I loved this light....while it worked! The on/off switch is not reliable (flimsy at best) and when I asked about getting it replaced, was told I was out of luck. Keep this in mind should you decide to purchase this light.
