Useless - too dim July 12, 2008 Sean Patrick (Boston MA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's a well made light but I cannot read the kindle or much else with it.
I have not too good vision and it is not enough for me.
I do not see these types of lights are marketed as fine replacement reading lights unless you are reading under the covers as a kid or in a tent.
A waste for me.
NOT MIGHTY BRIGHT - A HOAX
Good light, marginal clip April 15, 2009 Senor Fox (Old Dominion) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The light on this little unit is great, but the clip seems to be fairly marginal for attaching to the K2. Still, not money wasted as it will be handy in the garage.
Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Clip on Light-Kindle June 2, 2009 Ruth0903 (Colorado) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was somewhat disappointed in this book light, first of all, after paying $20 for this light, I had to put batteries in it! I don't know why I assumed it would have long life batteries as well as the long life bulbs. Then, after getting the batteries in and clipping onto my new Kindle, I was disappointed in the actual light. I don't feel it is an exceptional product, have to position it just so, or it will glare on the Kindle screen. I considered sending it back and using the $20 to buy 2 Kindle books...but thought I would give it a try. My husband and I travel alot in our RV and think it will work out ok for night time reading in the RV. We'll see...I definitely wouldn't spend $20 on this product again.
Underwhelming June 2, 2009 ASPG57 (Culver City, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading many of the reviews I thought this light was a must have. I wanted the light so I could read my Kindle in bed at night without the need for a table lamp which was a nuisance to my wife. I am not sure why the light gets such rave reveiws. Set on high the unit gives off very little light and certainly not enough to read a Kindle by without supplemental lighting. I have a smaller led unit which is twice as bright even when set on low. I don't know if the unit is defective, but I would not recommend it to anyone.
Way too dim April 18, 2009 Steve Wehba (Carlsbad, CA USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Pros: excellent ergonomics
Cons: even at its brightest setting, it produces far too little light to read either the K2 or a traditional book (and my eyesight is excellent)
