Underwhelming June 2, 2009 ASPG57 (Culver City, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading many of the reviews I thought this light was a must have. I wanted the light so I could read my Kindle in bed at night without the need for a table lamp which was a nuisance to my wife. I am not sure why the light gets such rave reveiws. Set on high the unit gives off very little light and certainly not enough to read a Kindle by without supplemental lighting. I have a smaller led unit which is twice as bright even when set on low. I don't know if the unit is defective, but I would not recommend it to anyone.
Way too dim April 18, 2009 Steve Wehba (Carlsbad, CA USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Pros: excellent ergonomics
Cons: even at its brightest setting, it produces far too little light to read either the K2 or a traditional book (and my eyesight is excellent)

A basic little book light.
I would like to see it in white.
Somewhat flimsy, but does the job.
Reasonable price. OK.
Useless February 12, 2009 Spiketronic (SF, CA) 86 out of 91 found this review helpful
The old Mighty Brite had a slide switch. This new push button switch gets activated inadvertantly anytime I take it anywhere. The slightest touch turns it on and then I take it out of the bag and the batteries are dead. Bring back the old switch!
Waste of Money February 4, 2009 Dan Dan (La La Land) 97 out of 104 found this review helpful
If you have any intention of traveling with this light, don't buy it. The on/off switch is so sensitive that when you put it in a back pack or suitcase it turns itself on and drains the batteries. The only solution I found was to take out the batteries when traveling. Pretty lame. I bought a GE Book Light for seven bucks at the drugstore and am loving it. Buyer beware.
