Perfect for someone that doesn't read with the cover on, but wants to keep sand (reading on the beach?), dust and anything rustling around the places you tuck it when not in use.

No nonsense carrying case for my kindle....lightweight, thin, nothing sexy, but keeps it safe.

Like others, I didn't want a folder-type case that would increase the weight or bulkiness of the Kindle 2 when I'm reading. This case is perfect! I travel alot and this is light and compact and allows me to keep my Kindle in my purse or carry-on bag and easily access the Kindle 2 when I want to read. It's well padded and gives plenty of protection. Looking at other cases - and the prices of other cases - I can't see any reason to purchase any other case.

I purchased the Belkin Neoprene Sleeve Case for two reasons:
1. to protect my Kindle2 while it is in my purse.
2. I want to read my Kindle2 when it's "naked" - just the Kindle2, not have it attached to a portfolio.
I love this sleeve because the Kindle2 easily slips in and out of it, so when I'm waiting for a dr. appointment or waiting to pick up my kids from school, I can quickly and easily remove the Kindle2, and not have to wrestle with another type of case.
The fact that it closes with 2 zippers is great, especially b/c I keep it in my purse. I know that my Kindle2 isn't going to get marked up when I lose a pen cap in my purse, or get full of cat fur when my cat decides to lay on my purse (he's a little peculiar), or full of crumbs when my kid throws an open snack in my bag.
The only thing I didn't like, as noted by others, is the plastic smell. But, the smell does fade after a little time. I didn't mark off for the smell, though, b/c it wasn't unexpected with the neoprene. I initially thought that the smell was vinyl (it smells kind of like walking past a Payless Shoe Store, or into the shoe department at WalMart), but I was happy to find out (by re-reading the item description) that the top layer is actually leather.
I think the price could have been a little bit lower, but all-in-all I'm very happy with this sleeve case. It is perfect for my needs, offers great protection for the way I use it, and is a pretty good value.
