Case does not hold KINDLE; it falls out because the straps are too loose to keep it secure.
When I unzipped my Kindle to use it, it contiues to fall out, once falling out on the floor.
I have to be extra careful when opening and using it in this case.

I ordered my new Kindle and ordered this cover for it ... it does not fit correctly and because of that it is awkward to use ... I HATE IT ..... total waste of money!

I bought this case in December 2009 when I got my Kindle. I liked the looks of it and the fact that it closed completely. The zipper worked for about 2 months, then began to stick. I dealt with it knowing I could not return a product Ive used for 2 months. Last week (7 months later) the zipper stuck so badly that I was afraid I may not get the damn cover off. I struggled with it on Saturday as I sat in the pedicure chair at the nail salon. Finally, with much mustered up strength I opened it. The zipper broke (of course) and my Kindle went flying into the pedicure water. Luckily I grabbed it quickly. At home I took the entire Kindle apart and let it dry. After one day of drying, and 12 hours of charging it, my Kindle recovered. If it weren't for that damn Patagonia cover, I would have found a better way to spend my Sunday afternoon...

I really like the look and design of the Patagonia case - except for the zipper. I returned it once for a replacement as the zipper would not work very well. The replacement was a little better, but every time I opened or closed the zipper, I was doing battle with it. That is NOT how I wanted to access my Kindle.
I thought my kindle well protected, I was wrong...but Amazon was great August 25, 2010

I checked all the reviews before choosing a cover for my kindle.The Patagonia was not the nicest neither the cheapest, but I thought it was the best.
Even though it is a convenient cover, the corners straps don't always fit.
It happens that my kindle fell down a couple of times, uncompletely zipped-in;up to that point, it was OK.
Until once,and this time it was completely zipped-in ; it fell flat, probably on the screen side.
Then, the screen started to be incompletely lighted,and my beloved kindle was very fast unusable .
I called Amazon and they replaced my kindle for free the next day.
To me , it is a perfect customer service
